NIKOLA TESLA MEMORIAL ENDOWMENT SCHOLARSHIP
The Nikola Tesla Memorial Endowment Scholarship will be given to a deserving student enrolled in the Automation Engineering Technology program. This scholarship is made by an endowment established within the CVTC Foundation in honor of the late Nikola Tesla, a Yugoslavian immigrant who became a famous inventor. The funds for this endowment were raised primarily through the efforts of the Faculty Staff Student Foundation Advisory Committee which hosted a breakfast in the spring of 1985. Mr. Tesla was issued hundreds of patents, some of which have been displayed at CVTC. Probably the discovery for which Mr. Tesla is most famous is an alternating electric current, whose adoption both in the US and Europe is attributed in large part through his influence.
