NIKOLA TESLA MEMORIAL ENDOWMENT SCHOLARSHIP

NIKOLA TESLA MEMORIAL ENDOWMENT SCHOLARSHIP

The Nikola Tesla Memorial Endowment Scholarship was made possible by an endowment established within the CVTC Foundation in honor of Nikola, a Yugoslavian immigrant who became a famous inventor. The funds for this endowment were raised primarily through the efforts of the CVTC faculty, staff, and students and Foundation Advisory Committee, which hosted a breakfast in the spring of 1985. Mr. Tesla was issued hundreds of patents, some of which have been displayed at CVTC. Probably the discovery for which Mr. Tesla is most famous is alternating electric current, which was adopted both in the United States and Europe and is attributed in large part through his influence.
