ROBERT BENEDICT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES ENDOWMENT

Robert Benedict Memorial Scholarship for Students with Disabilities Endowment was created in Fall 2012. Robert was a long-time educator who worked with students with disabilities.

Robert passed away August 22, 2012, after a 3½-year battle with esophageal cancer. Robert was a husband to Linda and father to Bradley, Dawn, and Renae. He worked as supervisor of the Project SERVE program for students with disabilities at CVTC from 1978 and assumed additional duties as a dean at the College in general studies until 1994. He loved being outdoors and was an avid hunter of pheasants, ducks, geese, squirrels, and deer. He also loved bass fishing and enjoyed golfing. After retiring from CVTC, he and his wife moved to Texas to enjoy fishing for BIG bass and golfing during the winter months.
