PAMELA HANSON MEMORIAL ENDOWMENT SCHOLARSHIP

PAMELA HANSON MEMORIAL ENDOWMENT SCHOLARSHIP

Pamela Hanson died in a car accident in 1981 while she was a student in the first year of the Medical Laboratory Technician program (then Histotechnology) at CVTC (then District One Technical Institute). Many of the contributions for this scholarship were raised through the efforts of Histotechnology students who knew her. A pancake breakfast was held in the fall of 1981 to raise money needed to endow the scholarship, which is awarded annually.

The Hanson family, who was invited to the breakfast, wrote to express their appreciation: “We understand more now why Pam’s life was so happy, and she had so much zest. She had surrounded herself with the most wonderful people imaginable. She so loved and believed in the Histotechnology program. This is a great memorial to her, and we are comforted by your appreciation for Pam.”
