LINDA WEAVER-BERDAMI MEMORIAL ENDOWMENT SCHOLARSHIP
The Linda Weaver-Berdami Memorial Endowment Scholarship was created in memory of Linda by family and friends. She was an alumni who graduated with honors from the Barber-Cosmetology program in 1977. Linda worked as an apprentice at the Hair Den to obtain her Master Barber License before opening Berdami’s Roffler Hair Stylist Salon at the Midway Motor Lodge in Eau Claire, which she operated from 1979 until her lease was not renewed due to a remodel expansion project at the Midway Motor Lodge in 1988. After that, she was employed as a hair designer at J.C. Penney Styling Salon at Oakwood Mall, where she earned the Golden Shears Award in 1993 and the J.C. Penney All-Star Award in 1994. Linda was an adjunct instructor at CVTC in the Barber-Cosmetology program and a true professional in her chosen profession. She passed away unexpectedly of a massive heart attack on August 9, 1995, at age 44. Linda’s mother, Mildred Weaver, gave 140 shares of her Principal Financial Group stock to CVTC Foundation for the purpose of this scholarship in memory of her daughter.
