GLADYS BRAMBLETT MEMORIAL ENDOWMENT SCHOLARSHIP

GLADYS BRAMBLETT MEMORIAL ENDOWMENT SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship was established in memory of Gladys Bramblett who was one of the three incorporators of the Chippewa Valley Technical College Foundation. She served on the Foundation Board of Directors from 1977 to 1987.

Ms. Bramblett was in instructor in the Restaurant & Hotel Cookery program for eight years from 1967 to 1975. She initiated the Gold Vest Dining Program, which provided an on-campus practicum for students in that program.

Following her death in January 1988, an endowment was established through contributions from family and friends, together with an appropriation authorized by the Foundation board of directors. Subsequently, this endowment was enhanced by the means of a bequest from Ms. Bramblett’s estate. Scholarships from this endowment are awarded annually to female students who are widowed or divorced, with preference given to those with financial need or education rehabilitation.
