GERALD HAWKENSON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Gerald Hawkenson Memorial Scholarship was established by Gerald’s family to assist students in the Truck Driving program. Gerald was a graduate of Independence High School and a driver for local trucking companies for 38 years. As an instructor in the Truck Driving program for 15 years, Gerald often witnessed firsthand the financial struggles of students.
