ELEANOR M. & LYLE D. HOULDER MEMORIAL ENDOWMENT SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship was established by Eleanor M. and Lyle D. Houlder in their will to benefit a deserving student residing in Chippewa County. The Houlders were both lifelong employees of the Northern Center for the Developmentally Disabled in Chippewa Falls, WI. Eleanor worked in the Accounting Department for 37 years, and Lyle worked as an electrician/skilled trades supervisor for 34 years. The Houlders were instrumental in the establishment of the Northern Center Credit Union (later renamed Valley Credit Union) in 1953. Eleanor served as the Northern Center Credit Union’s treasurer for its first 30 years. Lyle served as the Northern Center Credit Union’s chairman of the board of directors for its first 26 years. A CVTC Foundation selection committee will determine the recipient of this scholarship.
