EARL WELKE MEMORIAL ENDOWMENT SCHOLARSHIP

The family of Earl Welke and Hovland’s, Inc., established this scholarship in Earl’s memory. Earl graduated from the technical college’s HVAC program in 1965, and he began his career in HVAC in 1961 at Hovland’s as a sheet metal apprentice. He served as president of the firm from 1980 until his retirement in 2007. Earl’s dedication to the HVAC industry was shown through his years of serving on the Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Technology Advisory Committee for CVTC and the Eau Claire Area Sheet Metal Joint Apprenticeship Committee. The Board of Directors of Hovland’s, Inc., selects the scholarship recipient.
