DIVERSITY ACHIEVEMENT SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship began with an initial gift from Mike Ojibway in memory of his father, Jeff Ojibway.
Jeff Ojibway of Chippewa Falls, WI, worked as a mechanic for most of his life and shared his talents with anyone who needed help. A regular community volunteer and supporter of Eau Claire cultural events, Jeff believed in equity and fairness for all people regardless of their background or skin color, and regularly assisted local American Indian students in hosting the annual honoring education Pow-wow. Jeff routinely opened his home and heart to help underserved and underprivileged youth in the community, and is remembered for his generous, genuine support of multicultural students pursuing postsecondary education.
Currently, this scholarship is offered to a CVTC student who identifies as a member of the following: 1) multicultural/non-white student, 2) student with disability, 3) nontraditional occupations student (underrepresented by gender in program), 4) LGBTQ+ student, or 5) international student.
