C.W. BEEDE MEMORIAL ENDOWMENT SCHOLARSHIP
This endowment scholarship was established in memory of Cecil W. Beede who served as CVTC (then District One) district director from 1963 to 1974 and passed away in September of 1985.
Mr. Beede took the college from a local school enrolling 485 full-time students to an institution serving a multi-country area with more than 2,100 full-time students and over 7,000 part-time students at his retirement in 1974. He guided the institution through a period that included the construction of the major portion of its physical facilities and the acquisition of 158 acres of land. It is said of Mr. Beede, “He was a mentor with endless energy who was willing to work with many . . . he had a vision for the future of communities and for adult vocational and technical education.”
